Officially, Scandinavia consists of three northern countries: Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. This is an amazing region where ancient cultural traditions blend with modern lifestyles, the purest ecology in the world, and the most progressive industrial enterprises. Each Scandinavian country is unique in its own way and presents a living interest, impressing and surprising with its natural beauty, history, culture, and customs. This extraordinary region is full of mysteries and fairy-tale landscapes. Scandinavian nature inspires creativity and offers complete relaxation. There are countless mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and forests here. It’s no surprise that a vacation in Scandinavia feels like a fairy tale come to life. Sweden is famous worldwide for its “Volvo” cars, an ice hotel in the north of the country, and the ABBA group. This country boasts many architectural landmarks and recreational areas—lakes, turbulent rivers, high mountains, and small islands. Denmark is the oldest kingdom in Northern Europe. Although the country is not located on a peninsula, it belongs to Scandinavia due to its close cultural ties with the region.

Stockholm is often called the "Venice of the North," and it is no surprise since the city is located on 14 islands connected by many bridges.
