Mariánské Lázně is a resort renowned for its natural carbon dioxide. Natural carbon dioxide is used in three forms: mineral baths (carbon dioxide water baths), dry carbon dioxide baths, and gas injections. These three spa treatments form the cornerstone of the resort’s therapeutic approach. Psychological relaxation, excellent staff, and the pleasant atmosphere of the spa hotels also contribute significantly to the successful improvement of patients' conditions. Spa treatments use natural therapeutic sources—mineral springs, the unique Maria gas, and peloids.

 

**NATURAL THERAPEUTIC CO2 GAS**

 

The Maria spring is a powerful gas seepage consisting of 99.7% natural CO2. This natural therapeutic gas is used in dry carbon dioxide baths. This type of treatment is increasingly popular, as clients report not only reduced blood pressure, improved heart activity, and circulation in the lower limbs but also significant enhancement of sexual functions. Moreover, this natural therapeutic gas is also used in the form of injections to treat joint diseases, spinal problems, and ischemic heart disease. A completely new treatment method is the Maria gas pool, with additional oxygen therapy.

 

**PELOIDS - PEAT, MUD**

 

Peloids are pastes made from inorganic or organic materials that are heated and modified for use in compresses and wraps. **Křížový Spring (Source of the Cross):** Mainly used to treat digestive system disorders and metabolic diseases, as well as allergies related to digestive disorders, due to its sulfate content with a mild laxative effect.

 

**Ferdinandův Spring (Ferdinand Spring):** Similar to the Křížový Spring but with slightly higher mineral content.

 

**Lesní Spring (Forest Spring):** Used to treat gastrointestinal disorders and upper respiratory tract issues, as well as some types of urological conditions due to its strong alkalizing properties.

 

**Rudolfův Spring (Rudolf Spring):** Treats kidney diseases and urinary tract disorders thanks to its high calcium content and antibacterial properties.
