DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1: Departure Canada

Today fly to Hanoi.

 

Day 2: Hanoi Arrival (D)

Welcome to Vietnam - the land of unique culture and stunning natural view. Upon arrival, your tour guide and driver will welcome you at the airport then escort you to hotel. Check in and free at leisure or explore the local life in the old town. Enjoy welcome dinner at a local restaurant

Day 3: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)

This morning we start the tour by visiting the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum - the final resting place of the beloved national hero, the Presidential Palace and Ho's still house. Enjoy the architectural and historical, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, built by King Ly Thai To. Next you will visit Vietnam’s first university, the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature.This afternoon, enjoy a cyclo ride around the Old Quarter to discover the lifestyle of locals. Enjoy a Quarter Water Puppet Show a traditional form of Vietnamese folk art. Take a walking through charming Hang Be Market. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Stop at Ta Hien Street for your own discovery the local beer or Vietnamese coffee.

Day 4: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

Breakfast at hotel, start your journey to Halong Bay. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmland of the Red River Delta passing by rice fields where you will surely see water buffalos and Vietnamese village everyday life.Arrive in Halong Bay at noon, then you board your beautiful traditional wooden junk and spend a full day and night cruising the bay's 3000 magnificent limestone islets. In the evening when the boat is anchored in the middle of the stunning lagoon, we enjoy a wonderful seafood meal and later there is opportunity for an evening swim from the side of the boat. Kayaking is available and payable locally. Enjoy some evening activities such as movie night, board games, or a beauty treatment before an overnight stay on the junk.

Day 5: Halong – Hanoi – Fly to Saigon (B, L)

Greeting by the morning sun rise from the sea horizon, you can join a Tai Chi lesson for some morning exercise and watch the sunrise over the bay before breakfast. You will visit a beautiful limestone grotto, then head back to the junk for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Disembarking and transfer to Hanoi International Airport for the departure flight to Ho Chi Minh City - formerly known as Saigon. Welcome at the airport then transfer to the hotel for the night.

Day 6: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnel – City Tour (B, L)

After breakfast at hotel, you travel outside of Saigon to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels through pleasant countryside. Cu Chi Tunnels is an incredible tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the Vietnam War. Part of a larger network of tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat. Arriving at the tunnels you will have an opportunity to go underground to see the intricate system of tunnels, learn tactics of revolutionary forces and understand what life was like for the Vietnamese soldiers during wartime. Then get transferred back to Saigon. Have lunch at a downtown restaurant of your choosing then set out on a guided city tour.  In the afternoon you will visit such sites as the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the City Post Office and Ben Thanh Market. Today’s dinner is on your own to explore local cuisines.

Day 7: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon (B, L, D)

You will be picked up from your hotel, then travel by road from Saigon downtown to the peaceful countryside in Ben Tre. Embark a local boat and take a boat on Ben Tre river – one of tributaries of Mekong river. Stop at brickwork to see how to make brick by hand. Visit the perfume coconut garden and coconut processing workshops located along canal and enjoy some fruits, coconut juice. Continue the trip by boat through criss-crossed with countless canals where they look more narrow to countryside. Walking on peaceful paths to farmer house to see people weave mats. Take a motor cart (xe loi) or bicycle on shady road, pass by rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on really life and find out about tropical culture. Enjoy lunch at farmer house on the riverside.Afternoon, take rowing boat along water palm canal and then back to Ben Tre before return to your hotel. Enjoy dinner cruise (Indochina Junk) on Saigon River.

Day 8: Saigon – Fly to Siem Reap (B, D)

After breakfast, board the flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, your guide and driver will meet you at airport and take you to the hotel for check-in. Relax in the authentic style hotel in the afternoon. Dinner will be arranged in local restaurant with Apsara Dance performance.

Day 9: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples (B, L, D)

This morning we will start our visit with Tuk-Tuk to South Gate of Angkor Thom, Giant faces of Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace, and Terrace of Leper.Afternoon: We start to discover to one of the jungle tree temple called: Ta Prohm and then we continues to visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean beyond.In the late afternoon, enjoy sunset at Angkor Wat Temple or Pre Rup Temple. In the evening, enjoy dinner at local restaurant.

Day 10: Siem Reap - Bangkok (B)

Transfer to the airport in the morning and board your flight to Bangkok. Thailand's riverside capital and one of the most exotic cities in the Orient. Upon arrival, take a boat trip along the Chao Phaya River & Canals. Boats are a great way to get around the famous Riverside area with its many historical attractions, temples and architecture, and also to explore the 'klongs' (canals) for a glimpse of Bangkok from yesteryear. Visit Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), situated on the west (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is easily one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok.

Day 11: Bangkok (B, L)

Start your day by exploring The Grand Palace, an impressive complex of temples, palaces, pavilions and museums. Then, visit the enchanting Emerald Buddha, which Thai people believe is the oldest sculpture of Buddha. After lunch, visit Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha), which is about 46 meter long and covered with gold leaf. Continue to the Arts of the Kingdom at The Ananta Samakom Throne Hall. Lunch at local restaurant.In the evening, you may attend an optional dinner and dance show at Siam Niramit. ($95 USD pp)

Day 12: Bangkok (B)

In the morning, drive south of Bangkok to the first stop at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where you will see the busy daily market popular with tourists and local people. Take a short boat ride through the canals to see the old part of the market. Transfer back to Bangkok, the rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 13: Bangkok – Hong Kong (B)

Fly to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, take the sit-in-coach airport transfer to the hotel.

Enjoy a half day sit-in-coach tour of Hong Kong Island visiting Victoria Peak, Stanley Market and Aberdeen Fishing Village.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellation Notice by mail or fax must be received by IITours. Cancellation fees are agreed to be liquidated damages and not a penalty. The following cancellation fee will be assessed per person accordingly when you cancel your reservation:

 

1.     More than 60 days prior to departure; loss of deposit plus any administration fees (visa, airline cancellation fees and any applicable amendment fees).

2.     59 days or less prior to departure; 100% of total tour cost.
